Miraa produces draft content. A clinician must review and approve everything before it enters a patient record.

After a consultation

Once capture ends, Miraa drafts the documentation. This is where you do the important part: verify, approve, and close the loop.

Purpose

Turn the captured consultation into an accurate, approved record and make sure every follow-up action is set up.

Steps

Review the draft note

Miraa produces a draft clinical note. Read it against what actually happened. See Review & approve notes.

Verify the details

Check facts, medications, diagnoses, plan, referrals, and follow-ups. Cross-check against the transcript where anything is unclear. See Transcripts.

Edit

Correct, complete, or remove anything before approval. See Editing notes.

Approve

Approve the note as the clinician. Nothing is final until you do. See Finalising notes.

Close the loop

Confirm referrals, follow-up tasks, recalls, and any patient communication.

⚕️

The draft is a starting point. You are responsible for what the final, approved note says. Don’t approve a note you haven’t actually read.

Closing the loop

After the note is approved, deal with the actions the consultation created:

Patient communication

If the consultation needs a message to the patient (for example, a reminder or result), Miraa can help draft it — but, like clinical notes, drafts are for your review before anything is sent.

Communications and reminders may be handled by your clinic’s Miraa setup. Any message that touches clinical judgment must be reviewed by a clinician, and sensitive or high-risk situations should be handled by a person, not automated.

Common mistakes

  • Approving without reading, because the draft “looks right”.
  • Approving the note but forgetting to set up the follow-up or referral.
  • Leaving overdue items unreviewed.
