Miraa produces draft content. A clinician must review and approve everything before it enters a patient record.

Documents & history

Beyond consultation notes, a patient’s record includes related documents and a history of activity.

Documents

Depending on your clinic’s setup, a patient’s record can include:

  • Exported notes and letters — for example, PDFs of approved notes. Needs confirmation
  • Referrals generated from consultations. See Referrals.
  • Other files your clinic attaches to the record. Needs confirmation — confirm which document types your version supports.
⚕️

Any clinical document generated by Miraa — a note, letter, or referral — is a draft until a clinician approves it. Don’t send or file a document that hasn’t been approved.

Record history

The patient record keeps a history of activity — consultations over time, and (for auditable events) who did what and when.

🔒

Access to a patient’s record and documents is logged. This audit history protects patients and staff. See Audit trail.

Exporting

Where enabled, you can export an approved note or document (for example, as a PDF). Only export what you have a legitimate reason to, and handle exported files according to your clinic’s privacy obligations.

Exported files leave the protections of the app. Treat them with the same care as any other clinical document — store and share them securely. See Data security.

Common mistakes

  • Exporting or sending an unapproved draft.
  • Storing exported clinical documents insecurely.

Troubleshooting

  • Missing a document you expected? Confirm the note was approved and exported, and check your access level. See User roles & access.
