Miraa produces draft content. A clinician must review and approve everything before it enters a patient record.
Tasks & follow-upFollow-up tasks

Follow-up tasks

Follow-up tasks are the actions a consultation creates — results to chase, referrals to complete, checks to schedule, or a note to follow something up.

Purpose

Capture and track everything that needs doing after a consultation so it actually gets done.

How tasks are created

  • Suggested by Miraa — from the consultation, Miraa can surface suggested follow-up tasks for you to confirm.
  • Added by you — create tasks manually as needed.
⚕️

Suggested tasks are drafts for your review. Confirm each one is correct and necessary — don’t rely on a suggestion being complete or accurate on its own.

Managing tasks

Confirm suggested tasks

Review what Miraa suggested, keep what’s right, and add anything missing.

Set timing and ownership

Make sure each task has the right due time and, where relevant, the right owner.

Track to completion

Work tasks off as they’re done. Anything not done on time should surface as overdue. See Overdue items.

Closing the loop

Follow-up tasks are a core part of the final step of the operating loop. After you approve a note, confirm the tasks it created. See After a consultation.

Common mistakes

  • Approving the note but never confirming the tasks.
  • Leaving tasks without a due time so they’re easy to forget.
  • Assuming a suggested task list is complete.

Troubleshooting

  • Tasks not appearing? Confirm the consultation was completed and check your access level. See User roles & access.
